Description
A King or Humble detaching hook used to lift bucket or kibble. Large hook attached to wire cable, attached to rope. Safety hook for use on the end of rope to attach bucket to windlass rope. If the bucket hit against the side of the shaft with this design of hook, the bucket would not fall out of the hook and fall to the bottom of the shaft. Many lethal accidents happened by not using this style of hook.
