Description
.1) Club from SE Australia .2) Hooked boomerang .3) Boomerang (on display) Often described as a "boomerang-club", this variety could be either thrown or hand-held in battle. The fine overall tooling patternis characteristic of that used on boomerangs and other artefacts from the Darling River region of NSW.|.2) Hooked boomerangs are typical of the desert. Tey were used with advantage in fighting as the hook caught on the edge of the shields, causing the boomerang-swing round behind it - information from "Aboriginal Australia" by Cooper, Carol et al.
