.1) Sterling silver case with purple gem (smokey topaz?) on finial. Sliding mechanism to lengthen lead. Stem with chain mail engraving, with leaf moulding on finial. .2) Elaborately engraved sterling silver propelling pencil with mother-of-pearl on finial. Sliding mechanism. Hexagonal stem.
